In 2010, the village was awarded as one of the most sustainable places in Germany, with a gold medal at the federal level, in the European village renewal competition 2014 Ediger-Eller won an excellent 2nd place as part of the Calmont region. A train station, a well-developed road network, as well as the airport Frankfurt-Hahn at a distance of 33 km ensure easy accessibility from all parts of Germany and Europe.
