The dialect, the “Hunsricker Platt”, is just as indispensable in the region as the historic townscape of Dill. Museums, events and social celebrations take place all year round, beyond the district capital limits of Simmern, in even the most remote Hunsrück villages.

Opened in May 2011, you can climb en Vélo the Hunsrück cycle path from Saarburg an der Saar over the Hunsrück heights to the Rhine Valley to Bacharach.
